Total 200 is a fully supported double century bike ride. There's a 200 mile and 200 kilometer (125 miles) option. I registered for the 200k a few months ago. The route was a nice loop around the Bay area, mostly flat with some rollings. Check the details here http://www.total200.com/index.cfm.
D-DAY: 5.00 AM - Crossing the Pavillion at Anacostia Park to get my number.
At the Parking lot
Last details before the start.
6.00 am - Start line
Unshaved as always. Deeply inside there's still a MTBer !!
Pennsylvania Ave.
What a view...
After the 1st Check point I'm looking for a fast group to join in.
And I find them a few miles later.
They rotate nicely at the head of the group and (the most important) they fill any gaps.
Crossing the bridge over the Patuxent River
Mile 77. Time to have lunch and get some rest.
Our Peloton hits the road again. One more check point.
Our last check point. The bad news was the dirt road we had to pass.
The good news: it was the last check point and the spirit was high.
The last miles before the finish line
Thanks for the company to the big guy with No 394.
We are done !!!
The guys from VietVelo.org
Of course many thanks to the Volunteers for their support !!!
